Storywise and animation was super good, gets sadder as the story goes, they portrayed the characters very nicely

Such a lovely movie🥹🤍 recommended if you are searching for comfort and warm movie night watch. I love how the story portrayed the sister relationship where no matter how far you are, you are still connected to each other and no matter what the obstacle is, you will eventually meet each other back. Very wholesome movie , worth watching.

It’s absolutely beautiful. The scenery and the emotions drive the story while deeply connecting with you. It has that characteristic depth the series has always had—carrying emotions to the ends of the earth and connecting people through whatever words are necessary. The sisters' situation and their backstory were so intense... ugh, how can you not cry and feel happy at the same time? Letting go to be happy, but knowing that the fact they will always be family—real sisters—is something no one can ever erase. It’s an incredibly strong bond.❤😭

Honestly had me in tears throughout, currently writing this review at 3 am while sniffing. The movie has such amazing writing, the emotional depth is stunning, and the two perspectives intertwine with perfect harmony. The character development is slow but certain and, in my opinion, perfectly paced. Though I must mention, as a person who has watched the anime too, it's horrid how characters assume, for the most part, that Violet's life has been easy... when it has been clearly far from it, The animation is fluid for the most part, and there are scenes where you can see it go into overdrive. The soundtrack brings everything this movie has to offer exceptionally well. It's perfectly timed, in such a way that it brings emotional intensity to every scene it has been implemented in. The plot couldn't have been done better, honestly, and it's simple but horrifyingly effective. I loved this movie, and honestly, it's pretty rare for an anime movie to carry such depth, and this is one of those few gems. "A postman not only delivers letters... but also happiness"

Like the Violet Evergarden series, this movie has deep emotional depth as the protagonist overcomes trauma. It's a slow burner and allows viewers to truly connect with the characters and the incredible soundtrack and animation really blend well with the film's overall setting.

As expected from Violet Evergarden , this movie delivers stunning visuals and strong emotional impact. The characters are great; even though Isabella starts off as a rather unlikeable character, you can see how she develops, and eventually you understand her situation. The movie also includes some basic exposition, so even a new viewer who isn’t familiar with the anime can enjoy it without prior context. As expected, it also has a very slow pace, similar to the series, but it focuses on character development and emotional relationships while delivering beautiful visuals. The slow pacing really serves the story. The movie has two interconnected stories, and the child who is the focus of the second one is also quite likable, not being excessively annoying or childish as one might expect from a child character. It also brought back a lot of childhood memories for me, especially of learning new things.
