EPISODE REVIEWS

It is an absolute masterpiece. It has a balancing fighting scene with an incredibly sad turn of events, and it is easily one of the best episodes ever. Also the animation and soundtrack are amazing

Episode Context

Arriving at episode 20 of 24, 'Pain' processes the fallout from Ketil's Farm and the physical conflicts that preceded it, shifting the battlefield entirely inward. It serves as a critical emotional pivot point in the season's final stretch, forcing characters to confront what violence has taken from them before the next episode, 'Courage,' pushes them toward resolution. This is the season laying its philosophical cards on the table heading into its endgame.
