I love Vinland so much man. A lot of people watching this episode will think "Vinland is back", thinking action battles is what makes Vinland great.

I disagree. Vinland to me is a philosophical anime primarily, it just so happens to have action battles when it needs to. Every battle explores more within the character itself. No scene is just blind fun and wasted.

Arnheid's husband showing up changed everything. The look on her face was devastating. Einar watching from the shadows broke my heart. The tension in that room was suffocating. This show knows how to twist the knife.

Thorfinn deciding that fully avoiding fights is not an option especially when someone needs defending. Internal conflict within the MC's mind is what really drawn me into this episode. Regardless of his oath of non-violence, he had to do what was necessary to defend Gardar.
