Ordinary college student Hikari's life changes completely when a talking cat named Buccha shows up one day to inform her that she's Venus Pink, a warrior chosen by the goddess Aphrodite. From there, she rounds up four other girls from Golden Star University to form a team and take on the Inma Empire — a faction trying to resurrect Apollo, the god of lust, and turn the world into, well, exactly what that sounds like. It's a two-episode OVA from 1994, and yes, it's exactly as unsubtle as the premise implies. The show is essentially a parody of the magical girl genre — think transformation sequences, colorful heroines with coordinated outfits, and a talking animal mentor — except filtered through the adult anime lens that Arms studio was known for in that era. The comedy leans into how absurd the whole setup is, which keeps it from taking itself seriously even for a second. If you've seen La Blue Girl or Magical Twilight and enjoyed the way those lean into genre parody alongside the adult content, this fits neatly in that same category. It's short, it's campy, and it's very much a product of its time. Don't go in expecting deep mythology or character development — this is a quick, comedic romp that exists to poke fun at Sailor Moon-style tropes while doing its own thing. Two episodes, one ridiculous mission, zero pretension about what it is.
