Vampire Vixen
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A letter from a girl asking him to meet alone in the school storage room leads Kanzaki to naturally assume it's a love confession. It is not. Mari Setogaya is a vampire, and she was planning to knock him out and feed on him — except she completely fails at the ambush, and Kanzaki ends up standing there completely fine while she explains herself, embarrassed and hungry. That's the setup, and it's genuinely charming in a low-stakes, comedic way. The whole thing leans into how hopeless Mari is at being an actual vampire, which gives the story a lighter tone than you'd expect from something with fangs and a PE storage room involved. From there it develops into a weird little arrangement between the two of them, blending the supernatural premise with something closer to a messy high school romance. It's a single OVA episode adapted from manga, so there's no long commitment here — you're in and out in one sitting. The animation from Peak Hunt holds up well for character expressions, which matters a lot given how much of the humor comes from Mari's reactions. If you've watched something like Vampire Vixen or dipped into titles like Aki Sora and appreciated that mix of comedy and intimacy, this sits comfortably in that space. Just go in knowing what it is — a short, adult supernatural comedy that doesn't take itself seriously, and is better for it.
