Forgive me, but I honestly found this 2011 anime a bit cringe.Had I encountered this when I was a pre-teen, I'd have screamed at the boys' entrances.Plus, it clearly set the baseline for modern otome game tropes.Still, it's refreshing to step out of my usual genre, even if romance isn't my thing!
This was a decent premiere, the world here was actually very diverse and I like it. The pacing was good, from the crisis and onto the resolution, I like how they covered a lot of ground in this first episode. The story doesn't feel rushed here and the flow feels very natural. I also like the character designs here and the OST was quite catchy.
An anime adaptation of the famous Uta No Prince Sama mega franchise. Visiting the series again is such a treat, as I am a fan of it (An Otoya girlies). The first episode, we already get introduced to all 6 of our boys, which is nice since some other adaptation take longer to let us knows the characters name. And with this, the plot can continue with more develpment than introduction. That opening is also very iconic, especially for its time that I think people had memorized the dance at some point lol. A good first episode in my book.
