The start was so thick and heavy, the white mist gave off a chill vibe. The sky cracking? The chant? MENACING. It was frustrating and interesting to watch at the same time. The end dropped a big bombshell.

Hizaki Mikado was the best combination of sweet, wise, and badass grandma. Knowing the flags raised in the story, it didn't take away the weight of the inevitable fate in the narrative. But the most touching thing was the evident hope she placed on Ushio and the happiness of having that hope after centuries of fighting. The soundtrack that accompanied didn't need to go that hard but it did. All the while Kirio acts and talks like a brat that he is who has zero respect on anything and Kuin is an absolute edgelord - whether he'd be a one-dimensional foil or a future ally is still up in the air. If Kirio doesn't cry like a baby in his arc, I'm gonna be mad.

A great episode as usual. To see that the good side also have a loss of life left me shocked as I thought the most it will only be grievously injured and not death. So far I like the pace this story goes as it get more intense now.
