Best episode so far in my opinion. Watching Oscar in combat using Tinasha's vision powers was cool. Better action than the previous episodes. Oscar and Tinasha might be destined to stay together no matter what time line. Although the romance feels a bit forced from Oscar.

I hope Oscar and Tinasha's relationship gets better. This anime's story is starting to make me think a lot because it deals with space and time.

Valt’s negotiation had that uncomfortable edge, like nothing is ever truly free in these deals.

Episode Context

Following Episode 4's political upheaval surrounding Princess Nephelli and Oscar's intervention, 'Returning the Promise' pivots to Tinasha's consolidation of power in Tuldarr, marking a crucial character pivot at the season's midpoint. This introspective episode functions as the calm before a significant storm, directly setting the stage for Episode 6's 'Bloodless Scars,' where disaster strikes during Tinasha's visit to a Tuldarr school and Cezar launches an invasion of Farsas. The decisions and emotional groundwork laid here will likely prove essential context for the escalation ahead.
