Synopsis
Meet Akihiro Kaji, the kind of guy who smiles at everyone in the office while secretly rating them on a personal scoring system. He's good-looking, he knows it, and he's convinced he deserves nothing less than perfection in a partner. Then he gets stuck on an overnight business trip with Yu Fukami, a colleague so unremarkable that Kaji barely registers his existence. You can probably see where this is going, but the fun is in watching Kaji's carefully constructed ego start cracking when he realizes Fukami has a side to him that nobody at the office would ever guess. This 8-episode ONA, adapted from Ayaka Matsumoto's manga and animated by Studio Hokiboshi, leans hard into the tension between who people present themselves as at work and who they actually are. It's a Boys Love series with explicit content, so fair warning there, but underneath the erotica tag there's a genuinely entertaining character study about a narcissist slowly losing control of his own narrative. The workplace setting keeps things grounded in a way that makes the power dynamics between Kaji and Fukami feel real rather than contrived. If you enjoyed the ego clashes in Dakaichi or the slow-burn chemistry of Junjou Romantica, this hits a similar nerve but with a sharper edge and a more condensed format. It's the kind of show where watching someone's smugness unravel is half the appeal.

The transition from Kaji thinking Fukami was a total zero to seeing him wet after the shower and losing his mind was the highlight for sure
That inner monologue from Kaji really got me because he is so full of himself and that scoring system is so mean but funny at the same time
I was expecting way more from the bedroom scene since the source material is known for being extremely graphic, so seeing how much they censored or just rushed through the actual intimacy was such a letdown and even though Kaji is carrying the show with his hilarious personality, Fukami still looks like a dork even when he is supposed to be erotic
If you came here for the smut from the manga you will be pretty disappointed because they definitely toned down those scenes for the screen and it felt lacking
Everything moved way too fast for a first episode and they should have spent more time on the tension before jumping straight into bed
Kaji is such a jerk for judging everyone by their looks but seeing him eat his words after that business trip shower scene was very satisfying
That transformation from nerdy tech guy to absolute babe just by removing glasses is such a classic move and the shower reveal worked perfectly
I really wanted to love the bedroom scene because the buildup with the glasses reveal was so good, but the actual animation felt a bit stiff and low budget compared to the rest of the episode and Kaji having a mental breakdown over his own scoring system is hilarious though and I think the comedy is way stronger than the spicy stuff right now
Why was the intimacy so awkward when the tension at the hotel was actually pretty decent before they started
I was laughing so hard at the numerical rating system, especially since Kaji is so full of himself and then immediately falls for a zero point guy
The transition from total disgust to a full on hookup was way too fast and the scene in the room looked kind of cheap
I actually gasped when Fukami walked out of the shower looking like that and Kaji just completely surrendered in five seconds flat
Fukami taking his glasses off turned him into a whole different person and Kaji definitely couldn't handle the heat
Kaji giving everyone a score is so mean but watching him lose his mind the second those glasses came off was hilarious
The pacing felt super rushed since they went from zero to a one night stand in like five minutes and it did not feel earned at all
I was totally caught off guard when Fukami came out of the shower and looked so different that Kaji just lost his mind over it
Kaji is such a jerk with his scoring system so seeing his brain break because of a guy he called plain was just too funny
That episode was way too short to really care about the characters but the part where Fukami just shut down that whole friends with benefits idea was a surprise
