Under the Dog

📖 SYNOPSIS

Set in 2025, five years after devastating terrorist attacks ended the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, "Under the Dog" unfolds in a UN-controlled zone on the edge of Tokyo Bay. Hana Togetsu, a seventeen-year-old high school student and UN operative, is assigned to assassinate Shunichi Nanase, a classmate on Enoshima Island. Posing as a transfer student, Hana prepares to execute her mission.

However, the situation quickly escalates when a middle-aged man arrives at the school, also seeking Shunichi. The arrival of the American military further intensifies the conflict, leading to bloodshed. As the situation becomes critical, another teenage girl is drawn to the island, seemingly to intervene. The story explores themes of control, violence, and the consequences of conflict in a dystopian setting.
