Episode Context

Episode 1 established Kuro's reluctant reactivation and his infiltration assignment at Kodan High School; this second episode pivots to a side mission involving a mysterious assailant, broadening the scope of the ninja underworld beyond the school setting. Sitting early in a twelve-episode run, it functions as a world-building expansion, layering in new players and threats that will feed into the larger conspiracies the season is clearly building toward.
