There is the question on why do Inyou rejects a client at first? His job is a rescuer, so why reject a client? There could be a deeper meaning behind this that will be revealed in the coming episodes. This episode uncover questions, which provided mystery to our MC. This is one of those things that would make the audience won't want to skip an episode.

Getting to know a bit more of Inyou makes his cynicism slightly more palatable. The creature designs this episode are pretty nice, especially the kel-bears. At the end, the conflict resolution seems decent. Overall, a slight improvement on the first episode.

Episode Context

Episode 2 wastes no time expanding the danger and intrigue of Magmell's uncharted territories. The focus shifts to Inyo taking on a new client, Emilia, pulling viewers deeper into what it actually means to be an angler in this world. Expect a tonal mix of tense action set pieces and quieter moments where the show interrogates the ethics of exploration itself, who has the right to claim the unknown, and at what cost? The pacing moves between high-energy confrontations with Magmell's threats and deliberate character beats that flesh out Inyo's philosophy toward his dangerous profession. Trust becomes a central theme as new alliances form under pressure. It's a solid early-season episode that prioritizes world-building through conflict rather than exposition, giving the adventure stakes real weight.
