It's a shame to see this episode wasted on flashbacks. The writers could have just use it with something more relevant to the situation.

Half of the episode was flashbacks to scenes we already saw along the series so if you skip it you wont be missing much. Though it’s nice see Inyou so determined to save Zero.

Episode Context

The title says it all. Episode 12 drops the adventure series into its darkest territory yet, shifting hard into emotional and psychological intensity. Expect a heavy atmosphere as Inyo and Zero confront personal demons alongside very real external threats. The pacing runs tight and urgent, trading the show's usual exploratory wonder for sustained tension and suspenseful confrontations. Character relationships get pushed to their breaking points, with themes of resilience, trust, and the cost of facing impossible odds front and center. Pierrot Plus leans into dramatic weight here rather than spectacle, making this more of a character-driven pressure cooker than a pure action showcase. As the penultimate episode of a 13-episode run, it carries the unmistakable energy of a narrative coiling before its final strike. Brace accordingly.
