📖 SYNOPSIS

Recluse Shigeru Yoshioka is 34 when he gets falsely accused of a crime, loses everything, and retreats from the world entirely. Then his computer offers him a portal to a fantasy realm — but there's a catch. To gain godlike power, he has to sacrifice his looks. Shigeru takes that deal without hesitation, and honestly, that choice tells you everything about this guy. He arrives in the new world as an "Absolute God" with 100 trillion stats and a face that could curdle milk. But here's where it gets interesting: his HP drops whenever he touches a woman. So you've got this absurdly overpowered dude who has to navigate a party that includes female companions while literally dying from physical contact with them. White Fox is handling the animation, which is a good sign if you've seen their work on Re:Zero. The tone leans more comedic than you'd expect from the premise — there's real action, but the show gets a lot of mileage out of Shigeru's social awkwardness and the gap between his divine power and his, let's say, approachable appearance. If you liked the power fantasy angle of Overlord but want something that doesn't take itself as seriously, or if The Rising of the Shield Hero's wrongly-accused-hero hook resonated with you, this one's worth checking out. It's a 12-episode seinen adaptation, so it moves at a decent pace and doesn't overstay its welcome.
