Episode Context

Coming directly off the conclusion of the 'Star of Sorrow' arc in episode 4, this installment functions as a transitional episode that redirects focus from external threats to internal character dynamics and Vatican politics. It establishes Sister Esther's role within the AX unit and deepens the audience's understanding of the power structures that will drive conflicts through the season's remaining nineteen episodes. The groundwork laid here, alliances, hidden identities, and institutional tensions, feeds directly into the escalating storylines ahead.
