Episode Context

Directly following 'The Throne of Roses II: The Refuge,' where competing factions scrambled to locate Pope Alessandro, this episode detonates the powder keg as the Rosen Kreuz Order's attack shatters whatever fragile equilibrium remained. With only two episodes left after this, it serves as the critical escalation point that propels the narrative into its final stretch, setting up 'The Crown of Thorns I: City in the Mist' and the consequences that will define the series' conclusion.
