Episode Context

Sitting at the exact halfway mark of 24 episodes, this installment launches the Ibelis arc following Abel's collaboration with a Methuselah agent in the 'From the Empire' storyline. It marks a deliberate pivot from individual missions toward the larger Vatican-Empire conflict, introducing new players and conspiracies that will drive the back half of the series. As the first part of a multi-episode arc, it prioritizes setup and escalation over resolution.
