Episode Context

This is the direct conclusion to the Overcount arc that began in episode 9, 'Overcount I. The Belfry of Downfall,' where the AX unit uncovered the Silent Noise conspiracy, episode 10 brings that threat to its climax. Sitting at the season's near-midpoint, it serves as a major turning point before episode 11, 'From the Empire,' shifts the series toward new alliances and a broader geopolitical scope. The events here deepen the factional tensions within the Vatican that have been building since the early episodes and reshape key character dynamics heading into the second half.
