EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off episode 6's deeper look into Vash's mysterious past and the growing awareness of his true identity, 'B.D.N.' continues raising the personal stakes by putting his ideals under direct, physical threat in a scenario he can't simply walk away from. This is a two-part story that leads directly into episode 8, 'And Between the Wasteland and Sky,' making it one of the series' first multi-episode arcs and a signal that Trigun is shifting from episodic encounters toward more connected, consequential storytelling.
