A traumatizing and heartbreaking flashback to Vash's past and his grit and determination to atone for his mistakes. A must-watch episode to know more about Vash and the story.

I also liked that Red Jacket for sure. "Home" was really a good name of ship which carries emotions with it. I wish Vash stayed there but destiny....Animation quality was awesome and beautiful BMC.

This episode felt emotional and reflective. The idea of “home” was shown in a deep way, with past and present blending together. The tone was calm but heavy, adding more depth to the story.

Episode Context

Positioned at episode 8 of 12, 'Our Home.' arrives as a deliberate narrative exhale after the intensity of Episode 7's alliance-shifting events with Wolfwood, trading momentum for emotional depth and critical backstory. It functions as the season's pivotal character study, filling in the gaps of Vash's motivations right before the conflict escalates sharply. This episode directly sets the table for Episode 9, 'Millions Knives,' where the focus snaps back to the present and the existential threat of Vash's twin brother takes center stage.
