Episode Context

As the middle episode of a five-part OVA, Episode 3 functions as the arc's emotional pivot, the foundational relationships established with Kosuke and the dormitory residents in the opening episodes now carry enough weight to be explored more deliberately. This is the point where earlier introductions give way to development, bridging the buildup of Episodes 1 and 2 with the payoff expected in Episodes 4 and 5. What happens here sets the emotional stakes for the finale stretch.
