Synopsis
After her first sexual experience leaves her thinking, 'that's it?' second-year high school student Nishina actually starts asking herself what she wants — which turns out to be a more interesting question than she expected. What follows is a single-episode OVA that traces her curiosity as it leads her into increasingly complicated territory, including a dynamic with her teacher that raises the stakes considerably. This is a hentai adaptation of Midori no Rupe's manga 'Girls on the Blue Film,' and Studio 9 Maiami keeps things close to the source material with clean animation. It also has an English dub handled by Fever Dreams Sound Factory, which is a nice touch if you prefer not to read subtitles during this kind of thing. The tone is more introspective than you might expect from the genre — Nishina actually feels like a character with an interior life, not just a plot device. If you've watched something like Imako System and appreciated when hentai bothers to give its protagonist a perspective, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Bible Black who like their sensuality paired with a genuine emotional undercurrent will probably find something here worth their time. At one episode, the commitment is minimal. It doesn't overstay its welcome, and it delivers what it sets out to do without a lot of filler padding the runtime.
