the emotional weight in this episode was heavy. watching nadeshiko call shizuru out for being insensitive? rough. the flashback showing yoka's dream of astronomy and shizuru shutting her down? yikes. the zombie fight was fun but the real tension was between the girls. 😰
I love how the train's name is the name of the anime's original creator and writer. Very subtle. But, I did not expect Shizuru to be so insensitive. You'd think she'd be more worried about Pochi puking but she pretty much shrugs it off. It was an interesting episode though.
Shizuru's backstory hits harder than expected. Her fallout with Yoka feels painfully real. Then zombies show up and somehow it works. This show balances emotional gut-punches and absurdity better than it has any right to.
