This was okay, nothing too special but it has that slice of life-ish feel for the first episode. One of the main leads Shizuru turns out to be tougher than I had expected.

What an opener! A post-apocalyptic Japan where people transform into animals is wildly poetic. Four girls hopping an abandoned train to find their friend feels equal parts reckless and heartwarming. Zenjiro's snap back to sanity from a conductor's cap is oddly poetic. Buckle up.
