Seeing Rokuro’s past finally unfold is heartbreaking and makes you root for him even more. Must-watch because it adds real depth to his character.

Episode Context

Sitting at the one-third mark of a 24-episode run, Episode 8 follows the chaotic ambush of Episode 7 by turning inward, using the aftermath as a catalyst for Rokuro and Kuina's personal growth. This is a pivotal character-building episode that transitions the series from early-arc setup into the deeper narrative territory the back half demands. The groundwork laid here, particularly around fear and self-discovery, signals that the confrontations ahead will carry significantly more emotional weight.
