EPISODE REVIEWS

That handshake thing with Nekosaki got me suspicious immediately and then they actually went there. Planting something on the kids before the mountain training is such a dirty move. Sets the whole arc up as not trusting anybody.

Episode Context

Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc opens with a harsh outdoor training exercise built around endurance, teamwork, and pressure rather than a resolved confrontation. Shiki Ichinose and the students of Rasetsu Academy are dropped into a hostile mountain environment, where a blizzard and a strict time limit transform routine training into an immediate survival-style challenge. The mood is cold, urgent, and physically demanding. Hagure Nekosaki and Yu Innami arrive as part-time instructors, and their role is to obstruct and test the students rather than guide them. The pacing centers on the group's attempt to satisfy the exercise's collective condition, keeping the drama on the squad's coordination under strain. The result is an action-oriented setup that establishes the arc's intensity through a contained trial.
