Episode Context

Coming off a harrowing stretch where Granny Setsu rescued the group, episode 38 serves as a clear transition point, Toriko needs to recover, and the journey to Life provides that narrative breathing room. The introduction of Yosaku as a Gourmet Reviver expands the show's supporting cast and sets the stage for Toriko's healing arc and Komatsu's next culinary developments. At roughly a quarter of the way through the full 147-episode run, the series is still building out its world and key players.
