Episode Context

This episode continues the intense multi-front battles that escalated in Episode 30, where Takimaru was locked in a deadly encounter and Toriko dealt with an overwhelming insect swarm. Episode 31 keeps the spotlight on the supporting fighters while the larger quest, presumably tied to the Century Soup, looms in the background. It directly sets up Episode 32, which shifts focus back to Toriko's efforts against the insects and Komatsu's own mission, making this a crucial bridge that deepens the stakes before the arc's next major pivot.
