Episode Context

Coming off the intense Toriko vs. Grinpatch confrontation, episode 23 functions as a deliberate cooldown, prioritizing character interaction and world expansion over combat. It introduces Gourmet Town and key figures within it, laying essential groundwork for the upcoming Setsuno and Century Soup storyline. At roughly the one-sixth mark of the full 147-episode run, this transitional chapter signals the series shifting gears toward its next major arc.
