Episode Context

Sitting at episode 104 of 147, this lands firmly in the back half of the series where training arcs carry real narrative weight. Following Toriko and Komatsu's meeting with Gourmet National Treasure Chin Chin-Chin, this episode kicks off the 'Honoring the Food' training arc at Chowlin Temple, establishing the thematic groundwork of gratitude that will deepen across the next several episodes. It marks a philosophical pivot point in the series, shifting focus from pure ingredient hunting toward the spiritual discipline that defines Toriko's later growth.
