Goodness, what did I just watch. Its start reminded me of Samurai Champloo and the music came straight from that time as well. The atmosphere screamed early 2000s, but that's all it has going for it. If you can stand intense gore, grossness, and down right brutality then perhaps it's for you, but it's definitely not for me.

I still pretty much in the dark about the lead cast backgrounds but I have a feeling the upcoming episodes are going to be insane. You can definitely tell it's a 2006 production with that slightly dated animation quality.
