Now the intensity is getting higher. The tension is real because Takemichi isn’t just sitting around like in episode 1 anymore. Curious about his strategy to save Mikey and Baji. This is an intense episode that makes you wonder about the next one. So don’t skip this episode at all.

At first I was really surprised when everything was going in an order i was confused but then Kazutora punched that guy and I was like there it is.
I don't know what's going to happen but I hope Takemichi succeeds in his mission.

THEY DID WHAT?! WE ARE SCREAMING, CRYING, AND THROWING OUR HANDS UP. EVERY MOVE FEELS LIKE IT’S GOING TO END EVERYTHING.

A setup-heavy episode that expands gang dynamics and looming threats. It’s not explosive, but it builds structural tension. The chessboard grows larger, and you can sense another brutal turning point approaching.

I see no reason why problem should arise on every corner, they just want to give Takemichi a point to go to time travel to the past. This anime is just a waste of time. i will not recommend.

E18: Open Fire
Must-Watch Episode. Bloody Halloween explodes. Toman and Valhalla collide in a junkyard with nothing but fists and fury. Chaos everywhere. Our boy is shaking...but he’s the only one who knows what this night could cost if he fails.

Tension stretched to breaking. Mikey’s darkness isn’t random; it’s grief weaponized. Kisaki doesn’t swing fists; he sets stages. Takemichi’s new goal is surgical: save Baji, save Mikey’s soul. Bloody Halloween isn’t about winning. It’s about who survives themselves.

Episode 18 feels like everything is spiraling at once. The emotional tension is high, and the confrontations carry real weight. You can sense how fragile the situation has become, and that makes every scene feel urgent. It’s intense, dramatic, and keeps you fully invested.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at the three-quarter mark of the season, 'Open Fire' serves as the critical bridge between Episode 17's devastating backstory revelations about Baji and Kazutora and the full eruption of the Bloody Halloween arc. The emotional groundwork laid in prior episodes now crystallizes into tangible stakes as the narrative shifts from understanding why these characters are broken to watching them march toward confrontation. Everything from here accelerates toward the season's climactic gang war and its fallout.
