Takemichi’s spiral from guilt and desperation is heartbreaking. The plot twist with Hinata balanced it out, reminding him what he is fighting for. Learning more about the Sano family, it creates more tension between the new gang and plot. The plot twist was brutal, but it shows the inner workings of Toman.

Light episode but still made us uneasy with the info dropped. Slow pace overall, then suddenly another cliffhanger at the end to get us hyped up!

Episode Context

Coming off the Tenjiku ambush in episode 2, this third episode pivots inward, trading external conflict for the internal fractures threatening Toman from within. It functions as a critical bridge in the early season, deepening character dynamics and exposing vulnerabilities that the Tenjiku arc will ruthlessly exploit. With ten episodes still ahead, the deliberate groundwork laid here signals that the escalation to come will hit harder because of what's revealed now.
