The more it is mentioned, I feel a bittersweet feeling towards Haise and his new persona. In every "version" of himself, he has always been dear to those around him, extending kindness where it was due. Hope he regains his memories soon.. I wonder what he will do with memories from both sides?

The focus on the Gourmet took me out of the CCG-Aogiri battle for a bit. It felt a little like the filler often featured in the original series. It did help lighten the tone and serve as (somwhat) a bridge between the intense moments and battle.
