EPISODE REVIEWS

Nonstop battles for the past few episodes, starting to get tiring to watch. Character arcs are underway though

Furuta is honestly the bad kind of insane. The revelation Kaneki got from Arima's information on him being a ghoul feels a little obvious now. Although his motivations remain mysterious!

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact midpoint of the 12-episode season, 'Face: Effulgence' escalates the internal CCG fractures that surfaced in Episode 5's 'MovE: Confluence, Confusion' by crystallizing Furuta's takeover and the Clowns' external assault. It functions as the critical pivot between the season's buildup phase and its descent into full-scale conflict. The stage is set directly for Episode 7, 'Proof: Bonds,' where the alliances and loyalties strained here will be tested under even greater pressure.
