EPISODE REVIEWS

Really chaotic episode, I found it a little hard to follow, but it did really help convey the chaos and how panicked the characters were.

Takizawa's backstory was body horror at its best. His lack of consent and all that happened to him perfectly explained his mental state and conflicted idealization.

Episode Context

Picking up directly from 'VOLT: White Darkness,' which launched the CCG's large-scale offensive against Aogiri Tree on Rushima Island, this third episode deepens the operational chaos and sharpens the personal conflicts within the Quinx Squad. Sitting early in a 12-episode season that's covering significant manga ground, it serves as a critical escalation point before 'Vive: Those Left Behind' shifts focus toward the emotional and moral fallout of the operation. This is the season transitioning from setup into full-scale consequences.
