Tokio Private Police
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In 2034, tough and driven recruit Noriko Ibuki joins Tokyo's elite private police force — a city so overrun with crime that the government basically outsourced public safety to corporate security teams with mechs. She fits right in on the action side of things. The personal side is a different story. Noriko is wound extremely tight when it comes to, well, everything that isn't punching criminals, and her new colleague Keiko Yamagami — confident, uninhibited, and completely unbothered — has a way of forcing that to the surface. The two-episode OVA from Arms studio mixes mecha combat sequences with the kind of adult comedy and erotic content you'd expect from late-90s hentai. It's genuinely comedic in places, leaning into the absurdity of its own premise rather than taking itself seriously. The dystopian Tokyo setting gives it a grungier aesthetic than you might expect — think less sleek sci-fi, more grimy near-future streets with giant robots. If you've watched Hyper Police or Burst Angel and wanted something with a harder adult edge, this fits that niche. Fans of Patlabor who are curious what that mecha-police concept looks like filtered through a completely different lens might find it an interesting oddity. It's a short, niche watch — two episodes, adapted from a novel, clearly made for a specific audience. Go in knowing what it is and it delivers on its own strange terms.
