The aura power system is still kinda ridiculous 💀, but at least the show fully commits to it now. Nakao’s biological aura sounds like edgy nonsense on paper, yet it works because the story treats martial arts resolve almost like a supernatural force

Futaba absolutely carries the visual side of this episode. The Air Master-inspired acrobatics are probably some of the coolest choreography the series has had in a while

This episode finally locks back into the martial arts energy the series is best at 😭 After a bunch of weird idol plots and psychological chaos, seeing actual focused combat again feels refreshing

Episode Context

Coming off the heroes' battle-ready confidence in episode 20, this installment flips the camera to the villains, establishing the Fake Shocker threat as something genuinely monstrous rather than comedic opposition. Positioned at episode 21 of 24, it serves as the critical escalation point that raises the stakes before Shocker's full counter-offensive in the final stretch. This tonal pivot is essential groundwork for the climactic confrontations ahead.
