The fight choreography here feels messy in a good way. It’s less stylized and more like an actual street brawl, which fits the tone of the series and makes the damage feel real.

Futaba stealing the spotlight is honestly one of the best parts. Her sudden display of strength recontextualizes her character xD from background support to someone who might actually outclass the “Riders.”

This episode works because it flips from celebration to chaos really fast, showing how unstable their situation actually is. The bar setting makes everything feel more personal compared to the tournament arena.

Episode Context

Sitting exactly at the halfway mark of 24 episodes, this installment serves as a crucial pivot point. The Strongest Decider Tournament that dominated the preceding episodes wraps up here in celebration, but the detection of Shocker combatants signals a hard narrative turn away from competitive spectacle and toward a more dangerous, enemy-driven conflict. This episode bridges the tournament arc's conclusion with what Episode 13 promises to deliver, direct confrontation.
