Absolute hilarity from this show. It's engaging enough that you sit through the ridiculousness to get to the next moment. YEEEE!

this is both intriguing and hilarious, I thought I was watching anime version of KR but it's a different take on it.

Viral hero moment hits both ways: he becomes a meme AND a menace. The internet cooked him but also accidentally created a legend LMFAO

Bro really hit 40 years old and said “nah I’m still a Rider” 😭 but the fact that it’s just peak human strength + delusion actually goes hard.

This is very entertaining. The concept of hero-obsessed which is based entirely from placebo effect. I couldn't stop myself from asking "Is he for real?" multiple times while watching this. So funny. It's like watching a never ending dream of someone.

Episode 1 was a great pilot episode. It clearly establishes Tojima as the heroic protagonist, who is just in and over himself as a massive fan of the Kamen Rider series, yet he has the muscles to prove it. Character design, animation, and sounds were fantastic all throughout.

Was skeptical at first since the manga's art not really that good.. but that goes different to the anime version.. it was crafted with much care and passion especially those at their 30s and 40s will relate so much to this guy.. watch and laugh

This show is a quirky and heartfelt start, blending humor with the nostalgic charm of a 40‑year‑old chasing his Kamen Rider dream. While fun and sincere, the pacing and animation can feel uneven, making it a solid 3/5 watch.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first episode of a 24-episode run, this is pure foundation—introducing Tanzaburou Tojima's character, his unfulfilled aspirations, and the comedic-action tone that will define the series. No prior context is needed; this is the starting line. The groundwork laid here directly feeds into upcoming episodes where Tojima's obsession pulls him into increasingly dangerous territory, including encounters with a group known as 'Fake Shocker.'
