Bittersweet is what best describes this episode. Fushi's decision regarding Hayase is red flag. But, this makes him also true to his character as powerful, yet still guided by compassion.

Fushi manages to get rid of every Nokker that appeared on Janada island. I'm glad Tonari was able to have a happy ending at least. I wish Fushi had properly dealt with Hayase, but unfortunately that goes against the principles he set for himself.

Episode Context

As episode 19 of 20, 'Wandering Rage' serves as the penultimate chapter of season one, escalating the Nokker conflict that has been building across the latter half of the series to a critical breaking point. It follows 'To Continue On,' which tested Fushi and his companions with significant setbacks, and channels that momentum into high-stakes confrontations that define where each character stands. Everything here is engineered to set the stage for the season finale, 'Echoes,' which will deal with the aftermath of the choices made under pressure.
