You need tissue or sunglasses here because nothing lasts forever, except maybe for Fushi. Just as when they found family, friends, and sense of belongingness, tragedy strikes! And just as when love was finally expressed, makes it more painful.

This one gets messy fast and you can really feel how much heavier everything is getting for Fushi. The ending lowkey hurts too, like it doesn’t even try to let you relax Hahahaha.

Just as when Rean and Gugu were going to start a relationship with each other, the Nokkers appear and ruined everything. This episode absolutely ruined me, especially when Fushi was in denial when he was able to transform into Gugu while fighting the Nokker.

Episode Context

Sitting at the season's midpoint, 'Awakening' transforms the quieter character-building momentum of episodes like 'Gift From the Past' into a high-stakes inflection point that permanently raises the show's tension. The bonds forged between Fushi, Gugu, and Rean during the preceding arc are put under immediate, severe pressure. This episode directly sets the stage for 'Aspiring to Go Higher,' where the fallout from these events reshapes the characters' trajectories for the season's second half.
