Yakumo adapting his barehanded counters against elite, desperate swordsmen gave this clash such a gritty, grounded feel. One of the most gripping fight episodes so far.
Finally, we have the long-awaited encounter between Yakumo and Musashi, an epic duel. In this well-paced, canonical episode, we witness the end of one era and the beginning of the next. We see an adult Iori who has refined his training to hone his swordsmanship. And perhaps in this second arc, we'll see another duel. An exceptional chapter full of action, epic battles, and thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end.
Continuing the engaging cliffhanger from the previous episode, this one delivers a great and genuinely satisfying fight scene along with a touch of quietly subtle romance moments. Honestly, I did not anticipate such nuanced and smooth dialogue delivery which really made my heart skip a beat. And it was a thoroughly satisfying, pivotal transition to a further new narrative arc.
