📖 SYNOPSIS

"Time of Eve" is set in a future Japan where androids are integrated into daily life. The story follows Rikuo, a student who becomes suspicious of his android, Sammy's, strange behavior. His investigation leads him and his friend Masaki to "Eve no Jikan," a cafe where androids and humans are treated without distinction. Within the cafe's walls, Rikuo encounters a diverse group of individuals and androids, each with their own stories and perspectives. As Rikuo spends time at the cafe, he begins to question his own views on androids, shifting from seeing them as mere tools to recognizing their individuality. Simultaneously, the narrative explores the societal tensions surrounding androids, as a government ethics committee attempts to regulate their presence and usage, highlighting the complex relationship between humans and their artificial counterparts.
