📖 SYNOPSIS

Once celebrated as the greatest cultivation prodigy the Northern Wilderness had ever seen, Chen Qingyuan's glory days are long gone — emphasis on "long gone." A hundred years ago, he walked into a forbidden zone called Tianyuan, his soul lamp went out, and everyone assumed he was dead. Fair enough. But then he just... walks back out, alive, with zero cultivation and no memory of what happened in there. The world moved on without him, and now he's basically starting from scratch in a place where power is everything.

Here's the twist that got me hooked: while he was inside Tianyuan, a mysterious woman in red gave him a choice — marry her or fulfill nine promises. He picked the promises without hesitation, which tells you a lot about this guy's personality. The early episodes set up this really satisfying dynamic where Chen has to navigate a world that either forgot him or wants to exploit him, all while carrying obligations he doesn't fully understand yet.

The cultivation system here is layered and the world-building draws heavily from Chinese mythology, so if you've been into stuff like Wan Jie Xian Zong or The Legend of Sky Lord 3D, this ONA hits similar notes but with its own identity. Fans of Fairy Legends will also find familiar ground. The tone leans action-packed but there's genuine mystery underneath — what actually happened during those hundred years, and what did he agree to? That question alone kept me watching.
