Episode Context

This episode arrives directly after Episode 3, 'Kekkai,' a village-set story centered on Hirahara and an ominous warning tied to a dam. As an anthology series, Yami Shibai 17 does not carry plot threads between episodes, but the season's thematic throughline of 'decision' continues here, adding another variation on that concept. No sourced information confirms what Episode 5 will introduce, so this entry stands as its own contained piece within the season's growing catalog of supernatural cautionary tales.
