Episode Context

As the third entry in a 13-episode anthology run, 'A Peaceful Village' arrives just as the season establishes its tonal range, early enough that no overarching pattern has fully locked in, giving this story room to surprise. Standalone by design, it carries no direct narrative thread from the previous two episodes, but its placement here contributes to the cumulative atmosphere the season is building. What follows in later episodes will continue to expand the anthology's thematic palette without revisiting this story's events.
