📖 SYNOPSIS

Set in Ming dynasty China, the anime follows the young Imperial Guard Yuan Xiaotang as he embarks on a mission to recover a stolen deity's book. This book, rumored to contain the secrets of powerful weapons, was once held by the royal family as a symbol of their rule, but was lost during the Yuan dynasty's invasion. Now, it has resurfaced, attracting the attention of outlaw societies.

Three notorious robbers – the Hell-fire monk, Hua Daochang the thousand-face fox, and Duan Yun in white – infiltrated the Imperial Palace during the ghost festival and stole the book, vying for the title of "most famous robber." The Emperor, in response, tasks the Imperial Guards, his personal bodyguards and secret police, with retrieving the book and capturing the thieves. Yuan Xiaotang, a young and inexperienced guard, is thrust into the center of this conflict, tasked with a dangerous mission that will test his skills and loyalty.
