VerifiedWhen I first watched this, I told myself I'd never rewatch it again. It was a great episode (so is the series), but it was really hard to watch a literal kid navigate life, more so, the dangers of her world. And yet, here I am, rewatching. If it's your first time watching, this is a must-watch episode as it introduces the plot and sets it in motion. It would also be crucial in understanding this kid's reasons in the future, like why she looks the way she does, and why she thinks the way she does. An additional reason for watching is that Ivy's really cute and smart! I'm honestly here for the cuteness, though (mainly).

VerifiedThe first episode is so tragic and messed up, i feel so sorry for the MC. Got emotionally attached to the character, it is very well written and the animation is superb, the graphics perfectly captures the anime, and the soundtrack fits. It feels like watching a movie than a tv series. A very good first episode.
