This was a full-blast intro episode. Rewatching this classic underrated gem again in this modern 2026 and was surreal and nostalgic since it was released almost two decades ago! The OP, OMG! I still remember it up to this day, and that ED with Hiroshi dancing took my breath away! Very nostalgic! The entire ep was sooo hilarious! The plot was interesting, as well as the dynamics of the characters. Had so much fun rewatching this again—one of the best rom-coms ever!

Interesting and great introduction to the anime. It has a clear vision of what its goals are, and the story is quite clear in how it flows from the beginning. It's also funny how the four handsome boys need to take care of Sunako, who's avoiding people 🤣.

Watching this series for the 9th time! It has hot guys, hilarious comedy, and a goth-loving girl named Sunako. Kyohei, Ranmaru, Takenaga, and Yukinojo must turn her into a "real lady" to earn free rent in their mansion. Episode 1 was already pure chaos and laughter. The opening and ending songs are so iconic. Truly a classic anime!

Episode Context

As the first of twenty-five episodes, this is pure setup, it introduces the core cast, the central premise of Sunako's makeover mission, and the rent-free living arrangement that gives the boys their motivation. No prior context needed; everything starts here. It lays the comedic and thematic groundwork for the escalating hijinks and character growth that will define the full season.
